To get optimal performance from your L & R Boat Latch (and the ease and simplicity of launching and retrieving your boat!), you need the correct angle where the latch meets the snare. The ‘Wedge’ lets you do that even if your trailer set up isn’t quite right!

Not every boat and trailer set up is the same. But to get great performance on your launch and retrieval you need the correct angle where the latch meets the snare. With the ‘Wedge’ you can change the angle by 14 degrees either up or down. This allows you to optimise the performance of your boat latch and be the envy of other launchers at the ramp!

How do I measure the angle between the snare and the latch on my trailer??

To help you work out the angle you can refer to our Downloadable Installation Guide which sets out how to measure step by step. You can also refer to Step 5 on our Installation Process page.

What is the optimal angle between the snare and the latch??

The optimal angle between the snare and the latch is approximately 15 degrees. If your angle is between 1 and 29 degrees, the Wedge Kit can help you adjust to the correct angle.

Is it easy to install??

In general, the Wedge Kit is very easy to install and use. Refer to the detailed instructions in our Installation Guide. We also have Approved Installers we can recommend or your preferred trailer or boat team can help.
